English - Transliteration
Sorah Al-Ma'arij (The Ways of Ascent ) - Verses Number 44
سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ ( 1 ) 
Saala sa-ilun biAAathabin waqiAA
لِّلْكَافِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ ( 2 )
Lilkafireena laysa lahu dafiAA
مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ ( 3 )
Mina Allahi thee almaAAarij
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ( 4 )
TaAAruju almala-ikatu warroohuilayhi fee yawmin kana miqdaruhu khamseena alfasana
فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا ( 5 )
Fasbir sabran jameela
إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدًا ( 6 )
Innahum yarawnahu baAAeeda
وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيبًا ( 7 )
Wanarahu qareeba
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ ( 8 )
Yawma takoonu assamao kalmuhl
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ ( 9 )
Watakoonu aljibalu kalAAihn
وَلَا يَسْأَلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا ( 10 )
Wala yas-alu hameemun hameema
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِي مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنِيهِ ( 11 )
Yubassaroonahum yawaddu almujrimu lawyaftadee min AAathabi yawmi-ithin bibaneeh
وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخِيهِ ( 12 )
Wasahibatihi waakheeh
وَفَصِيلَتِهِ الَّتِي تُؤْوِيهِ ( 13 )
Wafaseelatihi allatee tu/weeh
وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ ( 14 )
Waman fee al-ardi jameeAAan thummayunjeeh
كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ ( 15 )
Kalla innaha latha
نَزَّاعَةً لِّلشَّوَىٰ ( 16 )
NazzaAAatan lishshawa
تَدْعُو مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ( 17 )
TadAAoo man adbara watawalla
وَجَمَعَ فَأَوْعَىٰ ( 18 )
WajamaAAa faawAAa
إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا ( 19 )
Inna al-insana khuliqa halooAAa
إِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعًا ( 20 )
Itha massahu ashsharrujazooAAa
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا ( 21 )
Wa-itha massahu alkhayru manooAAa
إِلَّا الْمُصَلِّينَ ( 22 )
Illa almusalleen
الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ ( 23 )
Allatheena hum AAala salatihimda-imoon
وَالَّذِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَّعْلُومٌ ( 24 )
Wallatheena fee amwalihimhaqqun maAAloom
لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ ( 25 )
Lissa-ili walmahroom
وَالَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ ( 26 )
Wallatheena yusaddiqoonabiyawmi addeen
وَالَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ ( 27 )
Wallatheena hum min AAathabirabbihim mushfiqoon
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ ( 28 )
Inna AAathaba rabbihim ghayru ma/moon
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ ( 29 )
Wallatheena hum lifuroojihim hafithoon
إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ ( 30 )
Illa AAala azwajihim awma malakat aymanuhum fa-innahum ghayru maloomeen
فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ ( 31 )
Famani ibtagha waraa thalikafaola-ika humu alAAadoon
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ ( 32 )
Wallatheena hum li-amanatihimwaAAahdihim raAAoon
وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَادَاتِهِمْ قَائِمُونَ ( 33 )
Wallatheena hum bishahadatihimqa-imoon
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ( 34 )
Wallatheena hum AAala salatihimyuhafithoon
أُولَٰئِكَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ مُّكْرَمُونَ ( 35 )
Ola-ika fee jannatin mukramoon
فَمَالِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ ( 36 )
Famali allatheena kafarooqibalaka muhtiAAeen
عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ ( 37 )
AAani alyameeni waAAani ashshimaliAAizeen
أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ ( 38 )
AyatmaAAu kullu imri-in minhum anyudkhala jannata naAAeem
كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُم مِّمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ ( 39 )
Kalla inna khalaqnahummimma yaAAlamoon
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ إِنَّا لَقَادِرُونَ ( 40 )
Fala oqsimu birabbi almashariqiwalmagharibi inna laqadiroon
عَلَىٰ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِّنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ( 41 )
AAala an nubaddila khayran minhum wamanahnu bimasbooqeen
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ ( 42 )
Fatharhum yakhoodoowayalAAaboo hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allatheeyooAAadoon
يَوْمَ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٍ يُوفِضُونَ ( 43 )
Yawma yakhrujoona mina al-ajdathi siraAAankaannahum ila nusubin yoofidoon
خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ ( 44 )
KhashiAAatan absaruhumtarhaquhum thillatun thalika alyawmu allatheekanoo yooAAadoon

The ninth mentions a unique prophecy which dealt with events completely out of the control of the Prophet or the Arabs that the Byzantine kingdom will defeat the Persian Kingdom within three to nine years. The tenth takes a look at some of the scientific facts mentioned in the Quran which modern scientists, Muslim and non-Muslim alike, affirm as true. Finally, the eleventh shows the linguistic miracle of the Quran and refers that Allah challenged the disbelievers of Makkah to compile a book like the Quran but they failed. The challenge got into very simple standard i.e. to compile a Surah (Chapter) looks like any of its Surahs but they also failed.
